INFRASTRUCTURE: Agreement reached with Japan to advance Metro

The Cabinet Council authorized this Tuesday, August 28, the signing of an agreement between the subcontractor of the Line 3 project, Hitachi LTDA , and the Metro de Panamá, SA for the purchase of all the equipment and wagons of Line 3 of the Metro to West Panama, at a cost of $ 839 million 678 thousand 828.

The announcement was made at a press conference in the amphitheater of the Presidency. This initiative is based on the agreement between the Governments of Panama and Japan, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to introduce Japanese technology into the transportation system of Metro Line 3.
