She Got Coached and Got Out!

From my client Deloris Young, who has recently relocated to Panama with the assistance of BLAST!   So, if you want to get out, get coached!
Hola!  Greetings Ladies!
It was about two years ago that I started to think seriously about leaving the states once I retired, because I was tired of the cold, and I did not want to drive any more. More importantly, I just wanted to have a more relaxed and simpler lifestyle, so I started looking at places overseas. I thought of a lot of countries, but I settled on Panama, because it seemed like the place I was looking for, especially, the weather and affordability.
I have now been in Panama two weeks. My first solo trip, I arrived in Panama City on Friday the 5th.  I met with my attorney on Monday, the 8th and had my temporary visa in hand on Thursday, the 11th   after spending less than 2 hours at immigration.  I am now in Chiriqui, specifically Dolega which is halfway between David and Boquete.  I think I will like it here while I settle in and figure out where I will end up, possibly the highlands of Cerra Punta.
But I wanted to share how my getting here was a blessing.  After posting in the 60+ Black Women Expat Group, Joyce Barr came to my rescue. She was a godsend. She took me under her wings and helped me all the way here. Folks! I had never left the states or flown! She coached me on everything I needed to do to make my relocation happen, such as providing information on the requirements needed to relocate, help with applying for passport and other documents needed, to referring me to a great immigration attorney. Her assistance with every important detail including help with the medical affidavit and what steps I would go through at the airports was very much appreciated.  It helped to keep me calm for my first flight. She advised what hotel I needed for my budget, arranged for my airport pickup, and even accompanied me to the lawyer. BLAST coaching has been by my side every step of the way. Even after my arrival I am still being supported.  Her assistance in arranging rides to the immigration office, helping me find a place to live, best places to shop, where the bus stops are, the whole nine yards. I am here to tell you I would not be in Panama this easily, or at all, if she had not coached me here. She went far beyond what I expected and still does.  Her knowledge and experience combined with her caring nature, makes her a great coach for us boomers.  So, I highly recommend her services if you are considering relocating abroad to Panama.
I am off to a great start, and I know my Panama adventure will only get better.

PANAMA requires “REAL” western developers to take advantage of regional positivity.

OP ED: James “JB” Bryson- I certainly have much to critique about the way things are done in my adopted home here. I still feel that despite the “boon” we see in Panama City, there lies a 3rd world underbelly we can’t seem to shake. With every “Four Seasons” or …
